Terms and Conditions
All sales by STE UK Ltd are made subject to the following terms and conditions and are applicable only to sales in the UK.
Prices
All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling, Nett, Ex-works Sittingbourne, Kent UK. E&OE. For sales, prices and terms of sale in other territories please contact STE UK Ltd to obtain details of your local distributor.
VAT
Prices do not include VAT. VAT is due at the rates applicable at the tax point.
Delivery Times and Acceptance of Order
Prices quoted on the STE UK Ltd On-Line Catalogue do not constitute an offer for sale. Orders do not become contractually binding until a formal order acknowledgment is issued by STE UK Ltd. STE UK Ltd will advise you of expected delivery times for goods before order acceptance and acknowledgement.
Payment and Credit Terms
Payment must be made with order except for state schools and credit account customers, for whom payment terms are 30 days nett. Private schools and commercial customers may apply for a credit account by requesting a Credit Account Request Form. You may also call us to discuss terms of trading.
Cancellation of Order
A cancellation fee of a minimum of 25% of the total cost of the goods may be charged if an order is cancelled after acceptance of order by STE UK Ltd.
Ownership of Goods
All goods remain the property of STE UK Ltd until all outstanding charges are paid in full.
Quality Statement
All goods supplied by STE UK Ltd meet or exceed European regulations for quality, safety and performance.
Warranty
Products sold into the UK by STE UK Ltd are warranted compliant with STE's published specifications and free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of shipment.
STE UK Ltd's sole obligation for products failing to comply with this warranty shall be, at its option, to either repair, replace or issue credit for the nonconforming product. STE will not be responsible for any costs associated with the return of products to STE Head Office, Sittingbourne, UK
Exceptions to this warranty are
(a) microscopes - the period of warranty is extended to 5 years from the date of shipment,
(b) consumable and disposable items,
(c) any products which have been subject to misuse, neglect, accident or modification or which have been altered such that they are not capable of being tested under normal test conditions,
(d) extended warranties on individual products as indicated.
STE UK Ltd shall make the final determination as to whether its products are defective. This warranty statement does not affect your statutory rights.
Specifications
STE UK Ltd is a progressive design and development company and our objectives are to offer the best products and value for the education market. We therefore reserve the right to change specifications or supply equivalent products without notice.
